John “Jack” Haskins, Jr, passed away on Weds, March 16, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dottie Haskins, their family and his sister, Carol.
Jack Haskins was much more than a member of North Hills Swim Club. We who value the pool as a community treasure owe much to him and his family. The Club was built on a 3-acre portion of land originally owned by Jack’s grandfather. Many of the Haskins family were involved in building the pool and were present at the 1960 pool dedication. Again, in 2010 when the pool faced foreclosure, Jack convened a limited liability company (LLC) to buy the pool’s mortgage. His quick action saved the North Hills Swim Club from closure. Today, the Club continues to be a blessing for many, many generations.
Therefore, on the occasion of Jack Haskins’ death the NHSC Board and the LLC believe that it is appropriate to establish a memorial in recognition of the Haskins Family’s vision for the North Hills Swim Club.
